Why did they change the baby bonus to fortnightly instalments?

The Australian baby bonus I am talking about. Apparently as of 1st Jan 2009 the baby bonus will be paid in 6 fortnightly instalments, which I think kind of sucks. They were talking about doing that for teen parents or something (which didn't bother me because Im not a teen) but when you think about it, there are a lot of things you need to buy for a baby asap and pushing the money out over 3 months makes it less helpful. I would much rather get the $5000 lump sum than $385 a fortnight for 3 months, I probably wouldn't even notice $385 a fortnight extra. My doctor did a lumber MRI like 2 months ago because of some back, and leg pain I was having and found out I have a bulging disc. Hi,So me and my fiance have been together 8 years and we have 4 children but they are not in our care due to past addictions but it is in the process of them being returned to us. My fiance hasn't let the past go, and that's what sets us off to arugments and fights. I have been sober for almost a year and am also pregnant with our 5th child. I am at the point where I am sick to death of fighting over past issues,and all I want is to move forward in life. I don't want to be bothered with the past and put under stress that I don't need to be in at this point in my pregnancy. All though I don't want to break off an 8 year relationship because I care so much about this man and I am willing to do councelling with him but he just dosen't want to do that. Opiate Addict, Please Help?

I've been addicted to oxycodone for the past 2 years. Before anyone corrects me, I'm not dependent on prescribed medication, I'm addicted to prescription medication not prescribed to me. I'm ready to quit, because I'm tired of the financial strain it's put on me, and because I'm sick and tired of going through these mive withdrawals when I don't have any. I don't know what to do, I've kept this completely hidden from family and friends this whole time, I've got no one to turn to, and no idea where to start on the road to recovery. I've heard of the traditional methadone treatment, but I've heard dependency develops with that, too. Also, I've heard of Suboxone treatment but my supplier told me his wife is on it, and the doctor told her she'd be on it the rest of her life. I wanna get off pills, not switch to another alternative. I am far too terrified to jus go cold turkey, and get over it, I tried once, but after 8 days, the withdrawals had not let up and I relapsed. I'm so lost, if it helps anyone to give me advice, I've been taking 3, 80mg OxyContins for the past 2 years, everyday. That's 320mg everyday. Is there anyone who's gone through this before? What can I do? Please no judgemental answers, I feel terrible enough, considering I'm only 18, and am already an addict, and have gone through alcoholism, meth addiction, and nicotine addiction. I need help, can anyone help me?

Is this weird behavior for a step mother?

My 13-year old son lives with his father and stepmother, and I get him on the weekends. For a while now, I have thought that his stepmother has been very controlling of my son and what goes on in his life, from discipline, to any decisions regarding him, even trying to overstep her bounds with me as his mother (i.e., trying to overrule my actions his mother). I've noticed the following peculiar behaviors and don't think that they are appropriate, and just want to get others' opinions on whether I am jumping to conclusions are should I do something about them? She has a Myspace page, where 90% of the pictures and blogs that she makes are about my son. She regularly messages my son's friends back and forth (as evidenced by the comments on her page and theirs). When my son is with me on the weekends, she text messages him on his cell phone constantly. In a 3-month period of time, over the course of only 7 weekends, I counted a total of 79 text messages ... one time, she texted him for 2 hours straight, and another for an hour straight. She sends him messages when he is with me that she misses and loves him ... one of which said something to the effect that "she had no one to roll over her to wake her up, and that made her sad." These are just a few things, but in comparison to contacts by his father when my son is with me, she dominates ... my ex only contacts him when he is with me on occasion ... no where near the amount of time that she does. I just think the fact that she is always contacting my son when he is with me, and the context of her messages, and the fact that she has conversations with my son's friends is indicative of some type of obsession. I would appreciate anyone's comments or sharing similar situations.

This is a hard thing to deal with. I'm not going to say that what you did was right but I'd never bash on you either. We all have our moments of weakness. When we put ourselves into situations that are causing temptation we are asking for trouble. If you guys had worked it out before and everything went back I think you can work it out again. Do not hide it from him, wait till you should tell him though. but if you wait and he finds out (which at some point he will if you are meant to last) the longer that you wait the more hurt and distrust will be caused. my bf is in the airforce and lives states away now. When we first connected I told him that I had cheated before, a simple stupid kiss that was a lack of self disipline. and its made our trust grow so much more. and ive seperated myself from all situations that could cause complications because I know that he is truely worth it. if you were thinking about him the whole time you obviously care about him. I constantly think there is something wrong with my brain, so I force myself to reminisce all the time. It's somewhat akin to when you repeat a word over and over and it becomes foreign to you, that is what I experience with my memories and it furthers my thinking that there is something wrong with me. In a different way, I think reminiscing can become unhealthy if you're allowing the memories to interfere with your present, other than that I think it's wonderful to be able to reminisce.

wow, I have to completely agree with you...those bands aren't blues bands at all. The only reason I can think of as to why anyone would label them blues is this: people aren't comfortable putting those guys in the oldies section (which they are ready for due to how long they have been around) so it sounds much "hipper" to label them as blues. For the bridle and rug there aren't a lot of choices. I'm guessing he would be standard horse size in those, most of the OTTB I've messed with are. I would opt for a wider saddle and more padding before getting something too narrow that will pinch. If you are at a barn with other people you may want to try other saddles on him to see what fits just right. Different brands run different too. Good luck.

Been Pregnant for TWO YEARS....?

Boys are awesome! I had 2 girls and then I had my son and it was just the most amazing wonderful experience. I have always found boy babies to be so much easier than girls. They tend to be a bit more laid back, which could account for him taking it easy in the womb. Lol he's just chillin' in there. As for the back to back pregnancies, A friend of mine had 2 boys back to back (11 months apart)and had a c-sections. Everything went well but she was told to take it easy more than she did with the previous pregnancy. I'm sure your baby is fine!

My dog is pretty stubborn, and whenever I ask him to do something I'm training or old like sit he tends to just look past me like I am nonexistant, or makes a game out of it. It really frustrates me, not so much when he makes a game because then I just play because I know he's done, but when he acts like I'm nonexistant it's just like grrrr. Should I just stick with the basics and not bother training him other skills, or is there some uber secret dog trainers have when it comes to being patient?

How do I housebreak a puppy if I work full time 8 hour days 5 days a week?

I am hoping to get a puppy in the near future. I am wondering what will be the best way to housebreak a puppy if I am not there during the day? My son may be around at lunch time or afterschool. I was supped to ovulate three or four days ago and had cramping in my side like usual at mid cycle. I am 4 days past that date and I am have a dull ache in my lower abdomen below my belly on. It could be that things are going good and subconsciously your afraid things will turn bad or subconsciously you are afraid that your BF might leave like your father. Your problem sounds kinda bad, your mom shouldnt be calling you names or yelling at you. On the other hand, alot of teenagers your age have hormones that just go crazy in your body. All that combined with the way this world is behaving doesnt seem to offer a kid your age alot of hopefull thoughts. I have a son and a daughter that are just a bit older than you, My daughter acted similarly with the crying and days of hopelesness, she got through it but I swear I dont know how!....My son did basically the same thing except that he acted out violently and the last day of school in his freshman year, he got up on his desk and dropped his pants and mooned the clroom,......he got arrested too and I had to basically bail him out and then watch him like a hawk and had to be "overbearing" and very "parentlike" and I saw the way he was acting and the way I was acting and I swear to you now, I could not stop myself from acting like a parent. I felt aweful!.....Now my son is in the navy and he's an officer, the transition for him was hard to do cuz I had to sign him in at age 17. This seemed to me like a real "over the edge" kinda thing to do but we both got through it and we are best friends now. His hormones and my daughter's combined with the way the world is acting probably brought about the way they grew up and the way they acted. I really dont know what to tell you except that "I think you'll grow out of it in time" I wish you didnt have to always be arguing with your mom, I know it sucks for you to be in that situation. You'll be surprised one day though, that you grew out of it and can look back on it and laugh about it all,.......that sucks too cuz you're not that old yet. I can say one thing though that I've observed about life in general, "when you are young, time pes by slowly and it's almost unbearable but when you get older?.......a year goes by in what seems like just a few weeks".......talk to your school counselor if you have one and please understand that nobody can feel the way you do because they arent you but there's alot of folks out there who've gone through what you're going through and now they wish they could just be young again..............wierd huh?...... You need to clean the contacts between the camera and the lens. Your camera is having trouble controlling the lens which is why it cannot focus, or stop down the aperature. If that does not work, take it to a professional. They might be able to fix it. I had that problem. Cleaning it good with alcohol worked for me.

Short of putting up a fence, how can I get the little brats next door to stay off our lawn & porch?

The parents have taught these kids NO boundaries. They are never home to watch them, they are in first grade and kindegarten and their grandfather is usually home but never goes outside. They are always riding their bikes across our landscaping, playing on our porch and looking in our windows no matter how many times we've told them to stay at their own house. I don't want to be the "mean lady next door" expecially since their own parents aren't very nice to them, but I've already tried asking nicely and the parents are no help. (They don't even act like they want kids...I think they're just too dumb to know how birth control works.) I'd put up a fence and a gate but we can't really afford to do that right now. 19 weeks pregnant and nearly fainted today.

I work in realestate and i was in training at a house today. We were inside the house standing and I was starting to get very unconfortable. I started sweating and feeling very hot. When i was about to go stand outside to get some air, my office manager told us to go outside where it is cooler. Once we got outside i started feeling extremly bad. I felt weak very hot and started geting a blackout. I also could not hear very well from either ears. Some of my collegues and manager helped me lay down and get some water and gave me air .I had eaten a good breakfast and a good lunch before leaving to my training. I was wondering if anyone has gone thru this and if so what they were told happened. I have a docs appt. in two days and will tell my doc. about that incident. How can I help my friend in her religious confusion? (Christian)?

My friend and I have practically grew up together. Recently she's went through some things like her grandma's cancer is growing, her boyfriend of a year broke up with her, her job hours got cut, and she's gotten really depressed. Anyway back to what i was saying My mom ended up dying in the spring or 2001 and my uncle stayed in contact for the most part then a couple years later after he managed to get my bros and my signauter on some paper work after his father died to sale my moms half of the land my grandpa left her and us which wants worth anything he got in a messaging fight with me and got all pissy and then stoped talking to me. I know he lives with my great uncle who is vary sick. You seem pretty dedicated to this, but with all the workouts you will be doing during the day you need to take in more calories. At least 1500-1800. You should still eat healthy, but eat like 4 or 5 small meals a day. That also keeps your metabolism constantly going, so your burning calories just by digesting food. As for workout, you should definatley try P90x. I have not finished it yet, but so far i have went from 176lbs to 155lbs. I have also gotten much stronger, and better shape. Plus i still have 5 more weeks to go. Im sure your workouts will work well to though. By the way, try not to put all of your excersise into cardio. Encorporate resistance training into your workout aswell. I know a lot of woman are concerned with looking bulky, but you have to remember your body wasn't designed to look that way. All resistance training will do is sculpt lean muscle that will help keep fat off once you loose it. The last thing I want to say, is once you start it don't quit. Over many years i have quit different diets i looked up and never got to find out if they worked. If you get discouraged, just tell yourself that you can do it. Thats what i did for P90x, and i'm feeling better already.

sorry if this is the wrong category... but I'm wondering some things about what usually takes place in a general autopsy. are there different kinds? Dog appeasing pheromone?

My dog is extremely distructive and its driving me nuts!!! She has been knocking over stuff she can reach on tables, pulling outlets out of the wall, and pushing over any trashcan on the floor (even if its empty). Im soooo sick of it so I asked my vet and he recommended the DAP thing. Why is my wife so dern bitter and hateful:?

My wife and I are approaching our 2yr anniversery in two weeks. We have 13mo old GGB Triplets, which I know are an enormous load. I work 65-75hrs a week and make 150K. Although my career keeps me away a lot, I do all that I can to help out with our children whle I am at home (every night as I don't travel). She has weekly maid service and I also have hired several "helpers" for her to loosen the load. She has gone through four helpers that she initially picked because she couldn't get along with them. All she does is critizize my every move. She has had a lot of medical issues, and is taking lots of medications. Hydrocodone, well golly, I cant list them all, but I think it's the Hydrocodone that makes her so bitter. She threatens divorce very frequently and does not communicate to me what she need/wants. I really am at a loss. Our life has ended. She sleeps on the couch. She rarely answers my phone calls while I'm at work, and when she does, it's "poor me" and I am the source of all of her problems. Her brother, who lives 3000 miles from us, and I have spent an entire 12-15 hours with my entire life tells her today that I am resentful that we have triplets. I really want to kick his ***. I mean, gee whiz. Why do I leave home for 13 hours a day to make a paycheck to feed/insure/clothe our entire family if I'm resentful of it. I am honestly becoming resentful that I am married to her. I am truly at a loss. I am so proud of my children. They have certainly added joy and happiness to my life. I think that she is the one that is resentful. When I met her, she was 29, recently divorced and living with her mother. Now, she is a stay at home mom, (not suggesting that's a vacation with triplets), but give me a break. I don't know what she wants from me. I honestly feel that I am a great father and my friends don't know how I handle this. She is extremely over-opinionated and critical of me. She always seems to start a fight with me at any given chance. I try to hold my cool, but it is very difficult to endure her grouchiness and hateful sneers she gives me everyday. Her goal was to become a MD, which didnt' work out for her because she didn't put the effort into her studies. I was diagnosed with a kidney disease about two years ago. I have been stable for the past year and a half. I started a new job November 5, 2007 as the Client Services Manager for a local company. In January, my kidney function dropped from 40% down to 25%, and blood pressure skyrocketed. The lowered function causes exhaustion, and problems with concentration/memory which in turn caused performance problems at work. I had been going to my doctor who was working on stabilizing my condition. Yesterday I was let go due to performance issues. Apparently my director didn't inform the HR department that I had a disease causing the problems, and when I brought it up, her eyes got big and she looked over at my director and said she was never told about this. Before she could say anything else, my director said she would walk me over to my desk so I could get my things, and then she would walk me out of the building. Are they allowed to do this?

I had that problem with my dog too and she's a beagle and she has been coughing a lot and a lot! Hello!! I am currently 20 weeks pregnant and want to ask a couple questions to those whove had successful VBAC and those who haven't.. Ok heres my story.. Sorry so long!! Well my first pregnancy was induced x 22 weeks because of severe preeclampsia (pregnancy induced hypertension). Well the baby which was a girl did not make it.. That was a l delivery. Second pregnancy I started seeying a perinatologist which helped me out through my whole pregnancy and found out what couldve caused the preeclampsia.. I have a blood clotting disorder. So I was put on blood thinning injections. Time for delivery came and It was a c section x 36 weeks because my OB was out of town and his replacement which had no idea of what was going on with me decided not to let me labor!! Well me thinking "Doctors" know best I let him do the C section. Now its been 11 months exactly, and it would be 1yr and 4 months after the c section by the time i deliver. Tap water in fry tank! Help!?

Hey guys, so I was doing my water changes and put some tap water in my guppy fry tank and my betta tank. I put the salt but forgot the conditioner. I immediately added some conditioner to their tanks and stirred it around. I can't believe I did that! The fry are 8 wks old. Sunless tanning & indoor tanning experts only please i have a dilemma!?

First off my skin type is III-IV (3-4) so i tan pretty easily but am still susceptible to burning if over exposed to UV light. So i have been indoor tanning for about half a month now and its going pretty good i am getting very dark and am tanning for about 17 minutes in a lay-down deluxe bed with three facial tanners. The lotion i'm using is one called Hawaiian Beach Premium Tanning Accelerator= Basic. My dilemma is that while using the lay-down bed i have aculated a white spot just above my bum area lol about the circular size of putting your index finger to your thumb and a tan line under each cheek this is all because i didnt relize my skin was folding over these spot while i was tanning how embarring! SO im looking for a SUNLESS TANNER that i could use only in these spots that would go good with my skin type and not make it look like i have three orange spots because i tan pretty brown not orange. AND one more questing can you even just use sunless tanner in spots here and there or will it come out funny. SORRY FOR THE LONG PARAGRAPH =) HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP!

Why do photographers like to see fron the camera peephole rather than from the liveview mode?

Looking through the viewfinder I have a much steadier hand holding the camera. My viewfinder shows shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. I can see the picture better because there is no interference by sun light. I would have to put on my reading gles to see live view but the viewfinder has an adjustable diopter for my crappy eyes. My camera is on the heavy side and to hold out in front of me to see live view wouldn't allow me to last nine innings.

Well I agree with what you said first, im confident that Cotto will counter punch and pick apart pac and get to ko. But i have to strongly disagree with him having post-traumatic stress. Joshua Clottey is an elite fighter, he is not known to many people but the guy can fight. Clottey fought margarito and injured his hand early in the fight and still gave him a hell of a fight in a very close match, with one hand. Now Cotto had to fight that guy with a huge cut on his eye, and still got the win. To me that was an impressive feat for Cotto.
