A distant uncle should i try to contact or not?
Story:he was never around when i was a kid he just showed up one christmas when i was in 6th grade then disapeared agian when i got in to 8th grade till my moms friend called him to come and get my mom when i was a freshman in highschool. My mom moved out when i was 15 and live with her so call friend for about 9 months the she move in with her brother and never told anybody to tell me and my brother. So for about 3 weeks i thought i never saw her becasue she got a job or something.then her friend tells us she moved but does not give us any othe information so 4 months later we get a letter in the mail from her brother asking why we haven't written or called. 1.st my dad was cheap and didn't belive in long distance phone. we had no computer, and i had no job to be able to get my own phone line, 2 we had no idea what the adress out that way was or even if he still lived there. he was know to move at the drop of a hat. my mom left us because she could take the verbal abuse and the tons of women my dad was sleeping with anymore there was physical abuse early on but it was stoped by me for the most part. Anyway back to what i was saying My mom ended up dying in the spring or 2001 and my uncle stayed in contact for the most part then a couple years later after he managed to get my bros and my signauter on some paper work after his father died to sale my moms half of the land my grandpa left her and us which wants worth anything he got in a messaging fight with me and got all pissy and then stoped talking to me. I know he lives with my great uncle who is vary sick. I get the feeling that i should keep in contact with him becasue of my mom he took care of her when she was sick with cancer and then took care of the cost of her creamation and such althougth i offered to help pay with intrest to him i was 19 and had a job.I also what the family history for my now sons from him he has those thing like that. should i atemped to contact him or just for get it and dig around my self to get the history of the family on my moms side my self.
