Is Cold water Extraction real?

I have been on perscribed Vicodine for amost a year and It has lost its ability to stop chronic pain. Its getting unbearable and I really don't wanna step up to Oxy contin. I also take cyclobenzaprine with the it on top of eating advil like crazy. I Know taking too many pills is bad for my liver. Does Cold water Extraction really work?
