Help with hair ? Stylist didn't do what I wanted and it looks bad ?

So I went to the salon yesterday and showed my stylist a picture of Kim kardashian when she had blonde hair and asked for that . What I came back with was high lights on only the top half of my head . I loved it in the salon . But when I got home I was inspecting it and it did not look good . The blonde highlights were not close enough to my scalp do there is a good centimeter of brown before the blonde starts . And my hair doesn't look blonde as a whole . It looks like i got cheap highlights wwhich is far from what I wanted . What do I do now ? My mom won't let me dye my hair from a box and I dont have the money to get it all redone . Is it possible to get her to redo it for free bcz it wasn't what I wanted ? Or do I have to just save up my money ad wait ? It looks so trashy :'( please help me
