Can implantation after ovulation cause lower abdominal pains?

I was supped to ovulate three or four days ago and had cramping in my side like usual at mid cycle. I am 4 days past that date and I am have a dull ache in my lower abdomen below my belly on. Could this be in plantation pain resulting in pregnancy? I don't usually experience this mid cycle but closer to my period.
