How does an individual get their record expunged?

The party makes a motion to the court having jurisdiction where he/she lives, asking the court for a writ of expungement, which is an order compelling all previous offenses to be stricken from the records. The evidentiary showing must include that the moving party has complied with all laws over a prescribed period of time and has had no further difficulty with the law.
